1. Describe the process you went through to change your object into the correct perspective to create the drawing. This is when you were in the lab.
2. How did distorting and stretching the object allow for you to create a drawing that would look different to the viewer?
3. What were the most important concepts in the project to make it successful?

The whole process of making the anamorphosis drawing started on the computer. I had to enlarge and transform the picture and photoshop the top part of the lemonade glass so that whenever i drew it the perspective would be realistic. Next it had to print it out and make a grid scale for it. Drawing the lemonade cup wasn't that hard but coloring it was a little bit more challenging because i had to make it look more realistic than just some cartoon. Instead of simply coloring the picture with the colored pencils, i had to use them to shade, make different values and make lines. The shadow was the last part, where you place the shadow is super important because it's what really makes the drawing look real or not. I had a tough time with the shadow because i was lost on where to place it to make my lemonade look like it was coming off the page. I'm still a little unsatisfied with it, but it's still alright. I think the shadow is one of the most important things and the perspective is the most important. If you can't look at the drawing from a certain angle and see it coming off the page you didn't do a very good job.

1. Explain how you changed your photo in the lab to create a stencil.
2. When creating the collage background explain your choices of colors, materials (magazine paper, books pages, etc), and placement. How does it relate to your topic? If no relation discuss general idea.
3. Discuss the way positive and negative space was used to create your stencil.
4. When using the xacto knife, explain the safety procedures, how to use the knife and any challenges you had to overcome while cutting.
5. How was your experience with the spray paint? Discuss how color choice is important, placement of stencil, and any other concepts you noticed while creating this.

This project began in the computer lab and we all picked a landmark or automobile and photoshopped it so it would better fit our stencil later. The photoshopped version of our pictures was strictly black and white, this helped you see the negative and positives spaces. After that we used a big brown piece of construction paper to make a collage out of things from magazines and books. I used scraps from art, dance, production and poetry pieces and then covered them with water colors by splatter painting it on. Next, I had to draw the outline of my stencil onto a large white poster board. After i did that i had to use the Xacto knife to cut my stencil out. Finally i had to spray paint my stencil onto my collage and i tried to pick colors that had a lot of contrast but that went together nicely. I'm actually very pleased with this composition!
